General Questions about Personal Accident Insurance

What is Personal Accident Insurance (PA)?

Personal Accident Insurance (PA) is an insurance that covers the loss of life, and damage to property, when caused by accident. Once you purchase a PA policy, you will be covered 24 hours of the day for the duration of your coverage period, world wide. PA Insurance covers the cases of:

  • Death
  • Loss of organs and eyesight
  • Permanent disability
  • Medical expenses

Am I too young / old to be covered by your Personal Accident Insurance policy?

Each PA policy can be different - in the case of Dhipaya Personal Accident Insurance that you can find at Frank, you will be covered between the ages of 15 and 60 years old.

Does PA Insurance cover medical expenses?

PA will compensate you only for the treatment that results from an accident. Cover for treatment from illness or any other non-accidental injury is excluded.

What is the coverage period?

Once you pay, you will be covered for 1 year.

Does the PA cover accidents caused by riding a motorcycle?

Dhipaya policies - offered by Frank - cover accidents caused by riding motorcycles whether you are the driver or passenger - the total amount is limited to the max sum insured.

Who is best suited to take a PA policy?

PA is suited for anyone who is at risk of an accident that can damage your health or your life.

Why should I buy PA Insurance?

The reality is that accidents and unforeseen incidents can happen, and other types of insurance may not cover in certain cases. For example, you might have a car insurance policy, but suffer an injury when riding in someone else's car - in this case, you would need an active PA policy to be able to claim. Alternatively, you may have a travel insurance policy that covers you for a specific journey in a specific country outside of Thailand - PA on the other hand would cover you for accidents domestically and worldwide.
